Head of Paid Social Media Marketing (m/w/d)

MediaCom Switzerland are looking for a "Head of Social Media" to join our team working across some of the most exciting clients in the network. At our Zurich location, we serve well-known Swiss clients such as AMAG (importer of the Volkswagen Group), EMMI, Credit Suisse, Manor, Basler Versicherung, to name just a few.   

We have been practicing Agile ways of working for many years. You will work with some of the best media practitioners in the agency. We believe in sharing great ideas across the teams, wherever they are, and you will have the opportunity to work with a large range of people from across the MediaCom business both locally and in other markets.

This is what you achieve with the team - for our clients:

  • Paid social media strategy development and client consulting in various supporting areas of communication (ads, digital design, copy, creative approach, audience management, etc.)
  • Understand clients’ products or services and their marketing objectives and goals
  • Conduct performance reviews, competition analysis, develop detailed plans and forecasts
  • Define campaign strategy and deliverable plans that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Work closely with other internal departments to develop fully integrated media campaigns
  • Attend client and agency meetings to present deliverables, campaign strategies, and tactics
  • Monitor, track and evaluate campaign performance analytics, based on critical client metrics
  • Deliver monthly client reports, verify data accuracy, provide analysis, and keep clients updated on account status
  • Support the Director in insights for quarterly or annual business reviews
  • Present practical ideas for future marketing expansion or optimization
  • Stay current on industry trends and standard methodologies, focusing on how innovations and changes can help improve offerings to accounts
  • Work together with media partners on testing the meta/beta features, facilitate publication of case studies and best practices to educate both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support the marketing efforts of the agency by creating webinars, representing the agency at the industry conferences, creating content for the agency’s social media channels

We are looking forward to that - your know-how for our future:

  • You bring a minimum of 5 years of paid social experience with direct budget and team management responsibility
  • Proven consulting skills at the project and customer support level
  • You are a true cross channel social marketer, with hands-on experience across multiple platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest or LinkedIn
  • You have a solid record in growing account scale and success and delivering great customer experiences through your working relationships on the client-side
  • You are very familiar with the various areas of influencer marketing and feel confident in dealing strategically with digital opportunities
  • You know how to use paid media strategy to complement earned media campaigns and meet business objectives  
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and attention to detail; ability to work under stress; public speaking skills
  • Ability to grow a department, manage and develop team members (in person and virtually)
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is highly desired
  • Prior experience in an agency environment and cultural sensitivity are highly desired
